The focus of California 2 Guyana Basketball Foundation is to bridge the gap between California and Georgetown youth basketball. Our group has been created to help the youth basketball players in Georgetown, Linden, Berbice and other smaller outlying communities in Guyana. We want to help grow basketball in Guyana and assist the kids that have a love for the game but not the basic necessities to play. We truly believe that by being of service to the youth of Guyana, we can make a difference in their social, athletic and educational development.
Our Mission
California 2 Guyana Basketball Foundation’s mission is to support the grassroots Guyanese basketball programs by collecting used and new basketball shoes, plus any available basketball equipment as well as other necessities and distributing them to our partners in Guyana. We also will provide free basketball clinics in multiple cities in Guyana.
