Syris Turks is the President/CEO of California 2 Guyana Basketball Foundation. As a current high school Senior and 4 year varsity basketball player Syris has enjoyed much success on the court. He has played with and against current NCAA and NBA players. Syris’ maternal grandparents are both proud Guyanese. Having visited Guyana in 2018 Syris spent some time playing basketball at a local gym in Georgetown. This is when he noticed the need for some basic necessities that come in abundance back home in California. Along with his Father (Brad) who played college basketball and now coaches, they decided to form C2G (California 2 Guyana) after much talks with YBG (Youth Basketball Guyana). Syris hopes to play college basketball in the Fall of 2021.
